"Yes we are a fraternity, but we are also a Christian Brotherhood. I didn't know that could exist before BYX."
- Travis Cheatham

The Purpose of Beta Upsilon Chi

Beta Upsilon Chi exists for the purpose of establishing brotherhood and unity among college men based on the common bond of Jesus Christ.

What is Rush?

Simply stated, Rush is the "process by which potential new members are introduced to BYX and have an opportunity to interact with and get to know active members". Basically, it's a period of time where you can see if you want to join BYX. Are you the type of person that would enjoy spending time with the Brothers? Do you want a group of friends that will encourage your Christian faith? Do you want to have fun? Rush gives you an opportunity to answer these questions by spending time with us.

Who is eligible to Rush?

Any current Baylor University undergraduate male, who is taking at least 12 credit hours of coursework, and has a current grade point average (GPA) of 2.5.

First semester freshman, or first semester transfer students with less than 30 credit hours or less than a 3.0 GPA are not eligible for rush.

What is the Rush process?

Interested male Baylor University undergraduates should register as a potential new member with the BYX Rush Chair prior to attending a Rush Event (party, cookout, etc). You may email rush@baylorbyx.com with your name, email address, age, class, hometown, dorm/room number or local address, and local phone number. We will accept registrations through September 24, but please register as soon as possible so that we can inform you of ways to get to know the Brothers.

"Honest, Strong,
Authentic, Fun,
Dedicated,
Real Brothers..."

- Seth Koster
We ask that as a prospective member, you attend as many of our Rush events as possible in order to begin developing a relationship with the members and getting to know them and what BYX is all about. This also gives us a chance to get to know you and help pray for you in your decision.

You must have a current and cumilative 2.5 GPA or higher, and a minimum of 12 credit hours to be eligible to join the fraternity.

BYX observes a Dry Rush. No alcohol may be consumed at a BYX-related rush event by persons of any age.

BYX provides equal opportunity to all undergraduate male students who desire to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ regardless of race, ethnic origin, or physical disability.

BYX requires all potential new members to schedule and participate in an Interview. Interviews will be scheduled at a later date.
